LYNNE WESTBROOK
Sees children (ages 3+), adolescents, individual adults, and families
Lynne received her BA in Psychology and Economics from Emory University and her MS in Professional Counseling from GSU. She is certified as a Professional Counseling Supervisor and National Certified Counselor.
She has been licensed as a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) for 25 years and enjoys working with children, adolescents, individuals and families in a variety of settings. She brings her passion for working with children/adolescents together with her love of Christ and His unmistakable fingerprint on the lives of our children, teens, and the guardians that are entrusted with them. The book of Jeremiah tells us that He “knew you before you were born.” He, therefore, has a plan for each and every child and values their uniqueness. Lynne uses a mixture of approaches, appropriate to the age and needs of each child, to explore their strengths, challenges, and unique fingerprint.
In addition to her experience working with children and adolescents, Lynne also enjoys working with adults of all ages and genders exploring topics including: empty nest, child rearing, self worth, purpose in life, career direction, substance abuse, and worry/anxiety.
In her spare-time she has authored a book and journal articles in the field of mental health, published poetry, and enjoys water-color painting. Lynne has two daughters and enjoys spending time with them and experiencing each stage of their lives! She also cherishes time with her rescue animals (including a miniature horse) and relaxing with friends and family.
