DOMINIQUE OSCAR
Dominique Oscar is a certified life coach consultant with a Master’s in psychology, currently working to complete another in marriage and family therapy. He has worked with youth and their families for over 25 years in different capacities including as teacher, non-profit work, and in the church. His life purpose and passion is to service and help young people of all walks of life develop to improve their lives within their support system.
With support and empathy, Dominique works to help build on the young people’s strengths and accomplishments to achieve growth and overcome difficulties with the understanding of values. Each session is designed to be collaborative, conversational, and solution-action oriented combined with the discipline of positive psychology approach and play therapy. With attentive listening, support and compassion, Dominique works to help build on the young person’s (and their parents’) strengths to accomplish the needed growth and life objectives. While he specializes in youth coaching, he can also provide exceptional adult coaching for transition periods, identifying roles, relationships, and health.
His professional journey has been one rooted in purpose and service. Dominique finds immense satisfaction in working with, teaching, and mentoring young individuals, empowering them to embrace their full potential with a foundation firmly grounded in Christ-like character. As a youth Director, behavioral health professional and child therapist, he has had the privilege of guiding and nurturing the spiritual, mental, emotional, and behavioral growth of our youth. Beyond his calling to nurture spiritual development, he is also passionate about nurturing physical well-being and a holistic approach to character development. His ultimate purpose is to help young individuals discover their calling and live out their lives with a sense of direction and motivation, embodying the teachings of Christ, while encouraging them to develop in their entirety.
Dominique is a devoted father of two vibrant and inquisitive teenagers, deeply committed to his faith and the pursuit of bringing honor and glory to our Heavenly Father through His son, Jesus Christ. His dedication to this mission extends beyond his family life to my role as the Youth Director at Progression Church. Born in Canada, he pursued higher education in Michigan before relocating to Georgia in the early 2000s. Amidst his professional and spiritual endeavors, he highly values quality time with his loved ones.
